Recreational Leagues - Fall Season

This program offers a 10 week program that starts in early September. Professional coaches provide training to players and volunteer parent coaches throughout the season.

This program lays the foundation for the grassroots approach to learning soccer that fostered by DUSC. Players can join with none, little to very high skills at any age starting as early as 5 years old! COED & ALL GIRLS divisions are available.
Age appropriate training, Age/skill appropriate assignment to divisions and teams, FIFA approved formats along with balanced training / competitive-play are the keys to this successful program.

DUSC Spring recreational soccer is run by professional coaches. Spring focus is on your child’s skills with ball through a progressive set of games. We aim for creative, confident soccer players.

Sessions are age specific. Children will play small sided games - and have a chance to show off their new skills.

DUSC’s spring skills clinics is open for players of all ages and abilities who want to develop the fundamental technical skills in soccer. Players will be taken through 30mins of age specific instruction by professional licensed coaches and then lead into small-sided games. Our emphasis is on fun, creativity and individual player development.

The goal of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop important life skills. By focusing on these core objectives we hope to nurture a lifelong love for the game and provide a solid foundation for players to take their game to the next level.

Recreational Clinics

DUSC clinics are a great way for Recreational weekend players to work with DUSC coaches to improve their technical skills. Sessions take place one day per week and are structured as a progressive curriculum of age-appropriate games and exercises.

Players:

  • Dress to play soccer (flat shoes preferred).
  • Wear Shin guards.
  • Bring a ball (Size 3 or 4)
  • Bring a drink.

DUSC Recreational Programs provide an opportunity for youth be active, learn the sport, develop important life skills and most importantly have fun. At DUSC, we hope to nurture a lifelong love for the game and provide a foundation for players to take their game to the next level.

Fall and WInter Leagues

The Fall and WInter Recreational League fields intramural coed teams for youth ages 5-17 years old. The league is a 10 week season that play games on weekends in a fun, learning environment coached by experienced parent volunteer coaches under the guidance and support of professional, licensed coaching staff. Each game will follow a short clinic that teaches some of the fundamental techniques in soccer.  The curriculum and playing formats have been designed and developed based on best practices and recommendations from international soccer coaching organizations.

Skills Clinics

Recreational Winter League

Improve your soccer skills with DUSC professional coaches

Winter clinics are open to players aged 10 - 14 (boys & girls)

8 one hour sessions begin January 3rd (no session on President's Day)

10 - 11 year olds play at 4 p.m.

12 - 14 year olds play at 5 p.m.

Fee:  $100

DUSC Winter Recreational Soccer moves inside for 10 weeks. Experience a faster, technically exciting game.

Coed Divisions 9 - 5 (players born 2006 - 2002) play at Pier 40.
Coed Divisions 4 - 1 (players born 2005 - 1995) play at Chelsea Piers.
All-Girls divisions (girls 8 - 16) play at Pier 40.

The Pier 40 program runs 10 weeks, beginnig December 11th.  Pier 40 sessions are 75 minutes.

The Pier 40 program will play on weekends of:

NEW! The Chelsea Piers programs begin on December 11th (weeks tbd by Chelsea Piers).

Division 5 (born 2002): Saturdays, rotating starts at 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
