JJ Walker Beautification Day

Written by Webmaster

Attention: All Downtown United Soccer Club and Gotham Girls F.C. Players and Families:

One of the Club’s greatest challenges is finding and permitting field time for our children.  Our largest partner in this process is the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR).  They have invited the players and parents of the Club to join them on April 22nd to help them clean up J.J. Walker park from 12:00 – 4:00 PM (see attached).  The last time they did this it was a blast!  Also, “organizations” remember those who take care of them.  So, given the fact that we are going to temporarily lose the NYCDPR fields such as J.J. Walker while it is being resurfaced in the near future, it would be great idea to be part of a team that takes care of J.J. Walker.  This is our field and we need to step up and pitch in to care for it.

We are asking and the Club is committing to contribute at least two volunteers for the 4 hours per team.  More are welcome of course.  Chris McGinnis, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , 917.806.4603, will be liaising with the NYCPRD.  Each team coordinator, or, their proxy, needs to contact Chris with the name and contact information (email address and cell phone) of their attendees no later than Friday April 13th.

Thank you for everything that you do!
