DUSC’s inclusive program has a simple idea: teach a younger player the skills that he or she will need, play them in a supportive team structure, make sure the emphasis is on fun and you will grow strong, cohesive and competitive teams.
The DUSC Academy offers boys and girls, aged 6 – 9, the opportunity for advanced soccer training by means of a developmentally appropriate curriculum that is based on the best current thinking about how to develop creative soccer players who truly love the game.
The program ensures solid player foundation and develops the fundamental technical, tactical, physical and psychological components of the game in a progressive and age appropriate manner. Applied technique and tactical awareness is taught through small-sided games that provide a maximum number of touches and individual decision-making.
The DUSC Academy is taught by licensed coaches who provide a FUN & SAFE learning environment that encourages a player’s growth and passion for the game.
The Academy programs run from September through June. Players train twice weekly. U9 teams play friendly games on weekends in all three seasons; U8 teams add weekend games in the winter and spring. U6 and U7 players are encouraged to join the DUSC Recreational League in the Fall.
